Die Ausgrabung des Domus sind jetzt eine Dauerausstellung, die das historische und künstlerische Erbe von Rom bereichern, Dank der Entdeckungen, die es uns ermöglicht haben, einen wichtigen Teil der Topographie der antiken, mittelalterlichen und modernen Stadt zu rekonstruieren.
Die malerische Route durch die Überreste des patrizischen Domus aus der Kaiserzeit, die einst zu den mächtigsten Familien gehörten, ist reich mit Mosaiken, Wanddekorationen, mehrfarbigen Böden, Pflastersteinen und anderen Überresten. Die Ausgrabungen wurden mit virtuellen Rekonstruktionen, Grafiken und Videos angereichert. Sie werden Wände, Räume, Peristyls (von Säulen umgebenen Veranden), Küchen, Bäder, Mobiliars und Verzierungen sehen, die alle zu neuem Leben erwachen, da die Ruinen von diesem großartigen Domus des antiken Roms abgeschlossen sind und zum Leben erweckt werden durch Projektionen und durch Lichteffekte.

Very interesting tour. Amazing to see how they can recreate history with light. The tour was 1.5 hours and everything was explained in great detail. It is a lot of just standing so wear comfortable shoes.

An amazing tour of the hidden foundations and mosaics of two Roman houses. Very informative commentary which more than offset the slightly nervous experience of walking on see-through floors!

A wonderful tour which came to life through the VERY clever lighting and video displays. Just a small thing that could affect some visitors is that you walk along a glass floor, which is safe, but for some visitors who are affected by height, this needs a little getting used to but should not put you off! A wonderful experience!

We had seen the Domus Valentini about 4 yrs ago when it initially opened. It was good then. Now it is absolutely FANTASTIC. The program was almost 1 1/2 hr long and included portions of the primary house that had never been previously excavated, plus another domus next door, plus seeing part of the bunker that Mussolini built in WWII, plus a tunnel going to the base of the nearby Trajan's Column.

Brings archaeology and the Roman past alive! This was an exceptional experience appropriate for anyone interested in gaining a more vivid understanding of what the ruins can tell us. Enjoy this multi-media, archaeological look back at the Palazzo Valentini which bite is priced at a great value.
