Our Driver was at our hotel on time and did a fabulous job taking us to the best places in Rome. Our tour guide at the Vatican was excellent. He had great knowledge and spoke English very well. The pace was just right and the front of the line access was very good. If we go anywhere on a trip where we aren't familiar with the city we will use Viator tours based on this experience we had in Rome.
Who ever thought one could see Rome in a day! Well, we DID! It was a small group tour, only six of us in a small van. Our guide was amazing, both in her knowledge of all the sites and her driving skills to weave in an out of small congested areas. I would highly recommend this tour. We will always avoid large bus tours after this one. A little more expensive, but so worth it in personalized service and much more ground to cover in a shorter amount of time!
We were picked up by our guide Roberto who drove us all over the city to view all the highlights that Rome has to offer. He was very informative and dropped us at the Vatican for our Tour. We had Grant as our guide who has so much knowledge about the Vatican and the art history. It was a lovely day!
I have never used Viator before and was a little anxious about the two tours I had booked. The Rome and Vatican Full Day Tour was asmall group tour. There were only six on the tour and the guide was friendly and gave us a lot of freedom to choose what we wanted to do. We could have just gone to the Colosseum and wstood in the long queue or bought skip the line tickets, as they were not included. The Driver/Guide offered to take us and show us some secrets of Rome that the tourist buses cannot get to. This was special and we all enjoyed it immensely. The other four guests were only on a half day tour, so just the two iof us were delivered to the Vatican and handed over to another guide. The whole tour was magical. One comment is that no allowance is made for lunch, so we had to buy something to eat in the car. The guides made the day exiting and interesting and I would recommend to anyone going to Rome to take this tour from Viator. Brian and Anne
