Prag: Abendliche Führung, tschechisches Bier und Bars

We had a blast with our tour guide, Joey! He absolutely gets five stars with his knowledge of beer, beer history, Czech history and all around great personality.j The tour itself was an absolute blast and I recommend it to anyone visiting Prague.

This was a great evening. Since it was an English spoken tour, I was expecting Americans and Brits. I was pleasantly surprised to find all different nationalities. The Guide knew his stuff and the selected pubs were each unique. After the second stop, we were all best friends. Five different beers - what more could you ask for? If my wife and I visit Prague again, we will do this tour again!

ah this was a fab nighout, met Adam member of staff what a lovely guy who brought us to various pubs to try half pints of different beer ad gave us lots of beer stories throughout the 4 hour tour, was great to meet other visitors from canada, america, germany on the beer tour with us, really good fun a must to do on your holiday

If you like beer and off the beaten track pubs then this is the tour for you. Our guide Jana was excellent, very informative and excellent English.

We all met at the main square on a kind of blustery afternoon and took off on the walking tour of several local breweries. We first had to go to a bar/restaurant to head upstairs so we'd be split up into groups and assigned to several different guides. Our guide was a really great young man from South America who is studying in Prague. Very knowlegeable about the different types of beer and the lore about them so we got a lot of good information whenever we did stop for beer. We had a 'natural' unpasturized beer that was really good and several others at other places that were also different and good. The tour is a bit 'off the cuff'..some of the places did not seem prepared for our group and we did a lot of quick walking between places so it was a bit trying to keep up so as not to lose the crowd, etc. I would have liked a bit less hurry between stops and a bit more beer time once we got there. Also..at the end of the tour you just kinda have to find your way back to wherever you are going in the crowded streets after dark. Would have preferred to have one place to start and finish. But.. we had a good time and it was interesting. Who knew that their 'green beer' is due to hops pellets and not food color?

We decided to go on a beer tour because my husband was working during the day and had a conference call later, so it fit right in the middle. Plus, it just sounded like it might be fun. Our guide was Elaine from Derry, Ireland --- a warm, funny and welcoming person. We apparently were her biggest group at 22 people and everyone just hung out, drank beers at different pubs that we walked to with Elaine and got to know one another. This tour was so much better than the 1/2 day city/river tour we took the next day with another company. It's not that the city is boring, but our guide certainly was cold and warmed up very pointedly at the end when asking for tips and good reviews on TripAdvisor. So, if you like beer or even if you only sort of like beer, this tour was totally worth it because it is fun and you meet people from all over the world. And see if you can go on a day when Elaine is the guide because she is an awesome, sweet girl!
