The Statue of Liberty has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. One of the most iconic monuments in the world, it has featured in several magazines, films, photos, and media. The statue is that of Libertas, the Roman goddess of Liberty. With a torch in her right hand, the famous tabula ansata in her left, with the roman numerals "JULY IV MDCCLXXVI," denoting the date of the US Declaration of Independence and broken chains at her feet, signifying freedom to the immigrants that arrived from other countries, she is the ultimate symbol of hope and the promise of opportunity.

A must-see for anyone visiting New York, the Statue of Liberty has been one of the most recognized buildings in the New York skyline. More than 300 feet in height, the Statue of Liberty is visible from Lower Manhattan. With nearly 4.5 million visitors every year, it is one of the most widely visited tourist spots in New York. The cruise goes from the Brooklyn Bridge, past the Governor’s Island to the Statue of Liberty. It finally goes towards the New Jersey side, from where several prominent monuments are visible.
