Premium Service Nazca Lines

Our premium service begins with comfortable transportation from your Lima hotel to Paracas. The drive along the coast of Peru takes about four hours. From here, we will go to the Pisco airport to fly over the Paracas desert, the city of Ica, and the Nazca lines. Every passenger has a window seat in our Cessna airplane, so you won't miss a thing! The most famous geoglyphs in the world, the Nazca lines are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These huge drawings, representing various insects and animals, can only be seen from the sky. The high, arid plateau of the Nazca Desert spans over 50 miles, and its isolation and dry climate has helped preserve the lines over time. Their origins are a mystery, though many believe it to be a large astronomic calendar, created by the Nazca people between 400 and 650 AD. Your pilot will fly you over several individual designs, letting you know which ones to look out for. The monkey is 300 feet long and has five fingers on one hand and four on the other believed to represent the nine months of drought the Nazca people experienced each year. The spider is said to represent fertility and water, as this arachnid usually appeared before the rain. The flamingo, condor, and hummingbird represent the winter and summer solstices; their beaks point to the locations of the sunrises and sunsets on solstice days in Nazca. During your 90 minute flight, you'll have plenty of time to capture great photo ops of this one-of-a-kind artwork. After this unforgettable experience, we will return to the airport and drive back to your hotel in Lima.
