Ein Tagesausflug von Las Vegas zum Hoover Dam sollte in Luxus geschehen - lassen Sie sich von einem Fahrer an Ihrem Hotel in Las Vegas in einem speziell ausgestatteten Hummer H2 abholen und fahren Sie in Richtung Süden zum Hoover Dam. Die Kraftwerksgeneratoren: Fahren Sie 152,4 m hinunter in den Black Canyon in einem Aufzug entlang der Wände und gehen Sie durch den 76,2 m langen Tunnel, der in den Stein gebohrt wurde. Sie sehen den Nevada-Flügel des Kraftwerks, der 198,12 m lang ist und 8 Generatoren aufweist.

Die Ausstellungsgalerie: Fahren Sie bis zur Plaza-Ebene und schauen Sie sich die Ausstellungen an zur Geschichte der Region und dazu, wie der Damm früher und heute betrieben wird.

The name is a misnomer: It should be the "Hoover Dam Hummer TAXI". The company in NO WAY provides "ANY PART of a TOUR ." Just provides a RIDE where YOU PAY for GAS get to the Dam! Also don't be mislead about seeing "wildlife" --- NOT! The guide "drops" you off -- gives "confusing directions" then tells you "when and where" to rendevous with them. Do not EXPECT any "CATERED SERVICE" cause there is NONE! The DAM Security / staff are completely in charge as they "coral you around Power Plant like cattle!" In addition, the guide was LATE picking us up which in turn ATE AWAY at time we could have spent actually "WALKING ON THE dam DAM! " --- which is REALLY the BEST PART of the "so-called" TOUR ! One could probably save money by renting a car and just driving themselves --- basically the SAME SERVICE you get from THIS TOUR!

The trip did not get off to the best start as we were told the lifts at Hoover Dam were not working and we could not go inside which was very disappointing. Apart from that we had a great trip and enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide - Randy was an absolute wealth of knowledge on the Hoover Dam , Las Vegas, Boulder and the Mojave desert. He was a really friendly guy , made every feel at ease and made the trip memorable. It didn't take long to get to the Dam and we had plenty of time to explore and take photos. On the way back we stopped in Boulder City and saw the wild Big Horn goats. The ride in the Hummer was great and a very comfortable way to tour. I'd definitely recommend Big Horn Hummer Tours and this trip.

This was definitely worth the cost of the tour! My 9 year old son and I wanted to go check out the Hoover Dam, so I booked online before we left for Vegas. Our guide Tom picked us up at the hotel in the Hummer, gave us a great history of the area and the dam on the way, then gave us specific instructions on how to beat the crowds, where restrooms were, etc. After the tour, Tom was right there to drop us back off at the hotel. Strong recommendation!

Loved every minute! Randy was a great guide. Highly recommend this trip. Very informative and was back in Vegas by noon.
