Stop At: A Famosa Fort, Jalan Kota Bandar Hilir, Melaka 75000 Malaysia

The Portuguese built the fort in 1512 and a Chapel was built for St Francis Xavier to do his missionary work at St Paul's Hill. The Dutch took over and later was demolished by the British. What remains is the gateway which is now called the A Famosa. This reflects the oldest of the European architectural remains of the 16th Century ruins.

Jonkers' Street is one street that you should not ever miss when in Malacca. Its a street of antiquities selling various foods and souvenirs and is a colorful street. It has a rich past and a walkabout is an absolute must.
Its a bustling open air market rich in history. An impact was created by Chinese migrants marrying into the local people. thus forming the Peranakan race.

1640 The oldest Chinese temple that focuses on 3 doctrines - Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. It is located at the Street of Harmony and was built as an expression of gratitude for Kapitan Cina Li by his son in law.

Tour was great with tour guide very informative UNTIL the drive home when he was basically falling asleep at the wheel of the vehicle swerving/drifting across lanes on the highway, going slow and then fast, again and again exceeding speed limit driving at 130kms ph. Not an experience I or my family would care to repeat.
