Diese ganztägige Tour in die Natur beginnt mit Ihrer Abholung von Ihrem Hotel (alle Resorts oder Hotel von Kona oder Kohala). Es geht dann in den Norden von Kona auf eine kurze malerische Fahrt, und den ganzen Tag über werden Sie mit Snacks und Erfrischungen versorgt. Auf dem Weg zum ersten Ziel kommen Sie an einigen der ältesten Vulkane der Insel vorbei, sowie an der größten Ranch von Hawaii, der Parker Ranch in Waimea, die seit 1847 in Betrieb ist.

Am Vormittag stehen Besichtigungen einiger der schönsten Wasserfälle auf Big Island an. Beim ersten Anblick wird Ihnen die Aussicht am Waipio Valley Lookout den Atem verschlagen, wenn Sie an der eindrucksvolle Kulisse der grünen Klippen über dem glitzernden Ozean stehen. Anschließend geht es weiter entlang der Küste Hamakua, die weitere malerische Ausblicke bietet auf diesem einmaligen Tagesausflug auf dem Weg zu Ihrem nächsten Ziel, den Akaka Falls. Dieser majestätische 135 Meter hohe Wasserfall stürzt in eine üppig bewachsene Schlucht im Zentrum eines State Parks. Genießen Sie einen kurzen Spaziergang durch die Vegetation, um sich alles aus nächster Nähe anzusehen und Fotos zu machen. Der nächste Wasserfall auf der Reiseroute ist im Vergleich zwar klein, aber nicht von seiner Schönheit her. Die Rainbow Falls sind ein 24 Meter hoher Wasserfall, an dem ein riesiger Banyan-Baum steht. Das Gourmet-Mittagessen besteht aus Teriyaki Hühnchen, gegrilltem Fisch, Reis und Algensalat (vegetarische Gerichte sind auf Anfrage erhältlich).

Danach geht es weiter zur Erkundung der Wunder von Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, einschließlich Spalten, aus denen Dampf aufsteigt, dem Jaggar Museum und den Krater-Aussichtspunkten Halema'uma'u und Kilauea Iki. Laufen Sie auf einer Brücke, auf der Sie im wahrsten Sinn einen Einblick in die Insel erhalten, in den unheimlichen Thurston Lavatunnel, eine 183 Meter lange Höhle, die vor Hunderten von Jahren durch einen unterirdischen Magmafluss entstand. Our tour guide (Kala Holiday) was absolutely amazing with his wealth of knowledge. We loved that he gave historic information about Hawaii as well as the language, culture and other tidbits of information while driving from one location to the next. As we got closer to the next stop, he would provide information on the landmark so that when we got out of the vehicle, we already had the knowledge and could see and understand it at our own leisure. I could hear other groups gathered around their tour guide trying to listen to what we had already learned while on the drive, which allowed us to venture further to take pictures and enjoy it more than if we had to stand together and listen. This trip was GREAT! Dreu was an incredible guide and shared so many great tidbits about the island and history. We learned places to snorkel, eat, and more. This was a PERFECT way to kick off our first full day on the Big Island and set us up for a fun remainder of our vacation.

The tour delivers what it promises, the Big Island in a Day. You see a wide variety of sights from black 'sand' beaches, to volcanoes and waterfalls. A great way to see the Island if you don't want to drive yourself (and work out where you are going!)

We opted to do this tour on our first day in Hawaii, so that we could see the whole island and determine if there were any areas that we wanted to return to on our own! Our guide, Kahikina, was fabulous! He was SOO knowledgeable, funny, easy to listen to and personable. Our tour lasted 11 hours! Kahikina took us to all the places he could from coffee farm, to water falls, to volcanoes and steam vents, through the forests of eucalyptus, to black sand beaches as well as lunch at a beautiful orchid farm. We were able to see the landscape on all parts of the island! I would highly recommend this tour!

Mr. K was the tour guide on my trip. He was great! Mr. K knows so much about the island. If anyone had a question, he was happy to reply. He tells great stories, shares the culture, and tells funny jokes. One thing I appreciated was being told approximately how long it would be between stops. I ended my day feeling like I had seen the island well. Lunch and snacks were provided. Lunch was delicious. Enjoyed my day very much! Thank you to Viator for helping me connect with this tour!

My wife and I went on an all day tour with Wasabi Tours hosted by Mr. K (aka "Bruddah K"). The tour hit the hot spots my wife was hoping for. The lunch prepared by Mr. K and his wife was the kind of homemade bento lunch that my wife would make for us, and was delicious. We highly recommend this tour.

The words and gentle laugh of Awana our guide are still with me now months after our tour. He introduced our group to the most beautiful areas of the Big Island as well as to the rich culture of which I knew not much. The tour was awesome. Even though we weren't able to visit the volcanoes, and all of us wanted to, they modified the tour and were still able to show us some beautiful sights. Our guide was Nate, and he was wonderful. He really knew about the areas he took us to, and had a great sense of humor. He even did a good job taking our jokes about wanting to see the lava multiple times. He kept us all safe and made sure we were comfortable all throughout the day. This is a great way to see some very beautiful sights and see the entire island in one day! We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Big Island, as it was probably our favorite day of our trip.
