Ihr privates Outlander-Abenteuer beginnt am Morgen mit der Abholung von Ihrem zentralen Hotel in Edinburgh. Sie treffen Ihren fachkundigen Reiseleiter und erkunden Schottlands wilde Highlands und die Drehorte der beliebten Starz-Fantasy-Serie. Auf dem Weg erfahren Sie mehr zu den Details der Serie nach der Romanreihe von Diana Gabaldon über eine Krankenschwester im Zweiten Weltkrieg, die zurück in die 1740er-Jahre in Schottland reist, der Zeit des Jakobitenaufstands.

Der erste Halt ist das idyllische Dorf Falkland, das in die Lomond Hills eingebettet ist. Sie schlendern durch die Stadt, die als Kulisse für Inverness im Jahr 1947 diente, sehen die Kirche, die die Danleigh Parish Church darstellte, und halten für ein Foto vor dem Campbells Café. Im Anschluss an die geführte Tour haben Sie Zeit, um die Stadt auf eigene Faust zu erkunden, in der die junge Mary Queen of Scots ihre schönsten Kindheitstage verbrachte! Außerdem können Sie (auf eigene Kosten) ein Mittagessen zu sich nehmen.

Nach dem Mittagessen geht es weiter in das mittelalterliche Doune Castle – das in Outlander als Leoch Castle dient. Erfahren Sie mehr über die Gegend und die grauenvollen Schlachten während des Jakobitenaufstands im 18. Jahrhundert, sowohl die fiktionalen als auch die echten. Machen Sie Fotos von der Burg von außen oder nehmen Sie an einer optionalen Führung im Inneren (auf eigene Kosten) teil.

Anschließend geht es weiter nach Culross (bzw. Cranesmuir), wo Geillis und Arthur Duncan leben. Dann folgt das Haus von Jamie Fraser in Lallybroch. Bonus! Ihre private Tour gewährt exklusiven Zugang zu den geschlossen Drehorten in Lallybroch.

Während der Fahrt hören Sie weniger bekannte Geschichten über die Produktion der Serie. Testen Sie sich selbst mit unterhaltsamen Anekdoten über Clans, Kriege, die schottische Geschichte und wichtige Outlander-Darsteller!

My guide was Gerry and he personally made this experience unforgettable. He was dressed in his kilt and was immediately wanting to know where we wanted to go and see and guided our trip to our interests. He was so knowledgable about the books as well as the tv series. He gave us so many stories and facts that our day was filled to the brim .I can not imagine this tour without Gerry.

We went on a brilliant bespoke Outlander adventure. Tony our guide was ever helpful, charming and knowledgeable about Outlander and more scottish history. We stopped at delightful Outlander locations but also beautifully preserved traditional scottish villages, which otherwise wouldn't have made it onto the tourist map. This was a fabulous day trip we took August 18. The kilt-wearing Tony gave us a well-informed experience. He is truly a Scotsman that loves his country and it shows in his knowledge of the 'Outlander' series and the facts he presented about the show and the locations where it is filmed. It was a glorious day! Tony exposed us to the real jewels of Scotland - and we will never be the same! You won't be disappointed taking a tour with Tony. The tour was outstanding. Gerry our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the show and exactly what happened at each site, producing pictures and pointing out exactly where everything happened. But more importantly, the beautiful places we saw in the Scottish countryside could not be equaled and Gerry gave us the history and character of these great little towns. This is a day that cannot be missed.
