Ihr Tagesausflug führt Sie über die berühmte Forth Road Bridge, von der Sie einen großartigen Blick auf die spektakuläre, nahe gelegene Forth Rail Bridge haben, eine der längsten Auslegerbrücken der Welt.

Sobald Sie die Brücke überquert haben, befinden Sie in Fife, einer einsam gelegene Halbinsel umgeben von den Wassern der Meeresarme Firth of Tay und Firth of Fort und der Nordsee. Der Höhepunkt ist das Gebiet East Neuk. Der kleinen Fischerdörfer hier an der Küste entlang waren berühmt-berüchtigt als Paradies für Schmuggler.

Anschließend halten Sie in Anstruther, ehe Sie zur mittelalterlichen Stadt St Andrews fahren, die fast 1.000 Jahre lang Hauptstadt der Schottischen Kirche war, und Sitz der ältesten Universität in Schottland (600 Jahre), die Prinz William besuchte.

St. Andrews ist bei den meisten als die Heimat des Golfsports bekannt. Der alte Golfplatz liegt unweit des Stadtzentrums. Sie haben mehrere Stunden Zeit, um diesen berühmte Stadt zu erkunden.

Von St Andrews machen Sie eine gemütlichen Fahrt durch das Zentrum von Fife nach Falkland. Falkland Palace dominiert dieses alte Dorf, und war eine der wichtigsten Residenzen der alten königlichen Familie von Schottland. Auf der Rückfahrt nach Edinburgh überqueren Sie die Lomond Hills und fahren an Loch Leven vorbei, wo Maria Stuart gefangen gehalten wurde.

Das schottische Hochland und die schottischen Inseln sind das letzte Stück Wildnis in Europa! Auf diesem ganz persönlichen Ausflug kommen Sie so nah in die Natur, wie in Ihrem eigenen Fahrzeug und haben dabei den Vorteil, über Schottland gut informiert zu werden. Der Vorteil der Reise in einer kleinen Gruppe ist, dass Sie häufige Stopps einlegen können und auch zu eher abgelegenen Orten gelangen. Sie verbringen weniger Zeit im Bus und haben somit Gelegenheit, das wahre Schottland kennenzulernen.

Saw a small village with time to visit and stretch and then to St. Andrews with lots of time to wander and eat. Roland was wonderful. Full of information and humor. And was easy to understand. I would recommend him. But he did use a word

This is a great tour. The guide, Jodie, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. There was plenty of time at the stops to explore. Jodie is a wealth of information about the area. The tour was exactly what we had hoped for. Highly recommended.

Small group tour, enjoyed all three stops, fishing village, st andrews and falkan palace. Driver was entertaining and knowledgeable. Bus a little cramped but sight lines enabled geat site seeing while driving.

Neil was a great tour guide!!! He gave us a lot of information about Scotland throughout the day and even played Scottish tunes for us to enjoy. We had plenty of time at each stop to take pictures and do what we wanted. I especially like how he gave us a bus tour through St Andrews before dropping us off for 3.5 hours of free time. He also gave us the option of dropping us off on South Street for shopping or dropping us off at the Old Course. We were able to visit the Old Course for pictures, walk around the University, visit St. Rules Tower, St. Andrews Cathedral and St. Andrews Castle in the 3.5 hours of free time. We took this tour on Sunday, August 4. One thing to note is on Sundays the Old Course is closed for golf, but open to stroll along. We were not aware of this ahead of time, but that is a good thing. We were able to take pictures on the 1st Hole of the Old Course and take a pictures on the famous bridge. From what we were told, when the course is open you cannot go on the bridge or on the 1st Hole.

We had a wonderful day full of beautiful scenery and a lot of history info from our driver, Ian. He was very pleasant to be with for the full day. He gave us a lot of information along our drive.
