These brilliantly-colored parasols are among favorites once completed and hand-painted with flowers and traditional Thai motives.
Skilled craftsmen transform teakwood with the help of simple tools into elegant furniture with delicate carvings. Also fascinating to watch is the production of lacquer ware, even eggshells are used to achieve unusual designs. Generations long, families have mastered and transferred the finer art of the well-known Celadon Ceramics. The art of making these exquisite ceramics is modeled on Sawankhalok pottery made over 700 years ago in Sukhothai period.
