Das Gizeh-Plateau befindet sich nur etwa 30 Minuten von Kairo entfernt; hier gibt Ihnen Ihr sachkundiger Reiseleiter und Ägyptologe einen spannenden Einblick in die Geschichte der drei Pyramiden Cheops, Chephren und Mykerinos. Sie haben Zeit, um das Innere einer Pyramide zu besichtigen (gegen Aufpreis), Ihrem Fremdenführer ist es jedoch nicht gestattet, Sie dabei zu begleiten. Oder nutzen Sie die Gelegenheit zu einem Kamelritt (gegen Aufpreis).
Von den Pyramiden geht es weiter über das Plateau. Bei einem Halt haben Sie die Möglichkeit, Fotos der drei Pyramiden im Wüstensand mit der Skyline Kairos im Hintergrund zu machen. Eine kurze Fahrt über das Plateau in Richtung Stadt bringt Sie zur mächtigen Statue der Sphinx, seit Jahrtausenden das rätselhafte Wahrzeichen Ägyptens. Außerdem können Sie in Gizeh das Sonnenbarken-Museum besuchen (optional), wo die bemerkenswert gut erhaltene Bestattungsbarke des Cheops ausgestellt ist.
Der nächste Halt ist in Sakkara bei der ältesten Pyramide Ägyptens, die 2650 v. Chr. erbaut wurde. Ihr Reiseleiter berichtet kurz von der Geschichte der berühmten Stufenpyramide, und Sie haben dann genügend Zeit für einen Spaziergang.
Der letzte Halt Ihrer Tour ist Memphis, die einstige Hauptstadt Ägyptens. Hier können Sie Ruinen und Statuen der großen Herrscher des alten Ägypten bestaunen, auch die umgestürzte Statue Ramses II. Außerdem haben Sie die Möglichkeit, eine Papyruswerkstatt zu besuchen und bei der Herstellung dieser berühmten Kunstwerke zuzusehen.

Our tour guide gave us a great day in Cairo seeing so many impressive and significant sites. We enjoyed his knowledge and passion for Egypt. I would recommend him for future visits.

This was the highlight of our tour and that's also because of our guide - Ahmed. He was an absolute delight, incredibly chatty and knowledgable and so eager to give us information about Egypt and the sights we saw. He talked to us about the history of Egypt as well as Egyptian life in the 21st century. He was happy to chat to us about anything! We also had additional stops on the tour including a camel ride in Giza to see the 9 pyramids, a visit to an Egyptian Cotton shop, the papryus institute and a visit to a carpet/rug making shop. The pyramids and Sphinx in Giza is mindblowing, the statue of Ramesis was also very impressive. The 1st pyramid in Sakkara was very interesting. Our driver was great too - the traffic in Giza/Cairo is chaotic and manic so it was nice to be driven around by an expert haha We didn't eat in a restaurant as Ahmed wanted to cram as much into the day as possible so we picked up falafal and the most amazing authentic chicken Shawarma to eat while we drove to our next destination. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

THe guide skipped the Boat museum and had me pay for my own lunch, then led me into a high pressure sales pitch from a perfume seller on the way back to hotel. Egypt is full on con artist and pushy street peddlers. They extend to the local tour companies as well. BEWARE

This tour was amazing I would highly recommend it there are so many incredible sights to see included in this! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, he knew the best spots for photos and took so many great shots for us. We really enjoyed our day.

Starts early and ends early giving you time to rest or do other things. You get to see everything you want to see in the Cairo area. Perhaps adding on the museum would be a nice touch? Both the driver and guide both named Ahmet were excellent and knowledgable.

Fantastic tour. Our guide, Emmy Eman was so lovely, knowledgeable and caring. She ensured we got to see everything we wanted to. Also our driver was protective of us, particularly the kids, ensuring they were safe as we were crossing roads. The Sekkara pyramid was a highlight, particularly going inside, while the camel ride to see the view of the 9 pyramids was fantastic although this was an extra cost. Great day, worth every cent and fantastic experience.
