This was an amazing, meaningful and educational tour of the American Beaches and historical spots . Ian, our English guide was funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable . His narration made the history come alive and there wasn't a question he couldn't answer, The vans are comfortable and easy to see all the sights. Well worth the price and wish we had time to tour the other beaches. We'll have to return.

Our tour guide, Lloyd, really knew his D-Day history. He shared many interesting facts and stories. I wish he would have continued his commentary during the drive and also at our stops. We got an overview at the sights but then were left to wander on our own. It was, overall, a very good tour.

Our guide/driver was Lloyd. He was excellent. Had a deep passion and interest in WWII History. Was incredibly gracious and cheerful despite the weather being quite wet (it rained most of the day). Lloyd thoroughly explained what we were doing before starting off with the group.

This tour went above and beyond our expectations! Promptly picked us up steps from our hotel. Cool and comfortable transportation. Small group which made this tour enjoyable and easy to talk to our guide, Visited numerous locations and had plenty of time to also explore each on our own. our tour guide was EXCELLENT!!! So knowledgeable and open to questions. He had past experience with the British armed services and commented on his own experiences during the tour which helped make things better to understand. We have already recommended this tour to friends that will be traveling next summer. So glad we went on the full day tour!

There aren't enough superlatives to describe how absolutely wonderful this tour was! Our tour guide, Nev, was one of the best tour guides we have ever had on any tour, bar none. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of military history. We learned so much. Definitely recommend the full day too. We covered so much ground yet never felt rushed. It was so moving, especially being able to end at The American Cemetery for Taps. I highly recommend Viator and Bayeux Shuttle. You will not be disappointed. They are high class, first rate companies!

This D Day tour was an amazing and emotional tour but our guide, Lloyd, was the hit of the tour. Lloyd is a WWII history enthusiast and he totally knows his subject and the D Day invasion was his subject. Excellent tour and even better tour guide!

Our guide Nev was the best! Funny and so knowledgeable. The hamlet of Bayeux was very busy. There were no restaurants available so we had to eat from the local market. We stayed at the Hotel Churchhill. It was just okay but conveniently located. The tour was around 9 hours. I recommend getting to the meeting spot on time. Fellow travelers don't like if you're late. At each stop the guide will tell you when to be back at the van. Again, be on time. There's a big difference between a quarter of and a quarter after. I've read questions about tipping. We tipped 20 Euro. It rained most of the time. Check the weather. You walk on the beaches which is great but keep footwear in mind. There wasn't a lot of time to stop at the museums. Restrooms are sometimes very public. When we stopped for lunch, the restaurants were, again, full. We found a very small counter where we could get a full meal (pizza slice or kebab, fries, drink and crepe) for about 8 Euro. We saw people leave small flags, flowers or coins at the headstones of the cemetery. Also bring a container if you want to collect sand from the beaches. Some of the gift shops have jars you can buy. Overall, very pricey for a family of four but absolutely worth every penny. I would do again!

The tour covered a lot of territory. It was a day filled with information, along with seeing the sights. It was well worth the money, and provided exactly what we wanted to see.

Our group of 8 had a terrific guide, who was ex Royal Army and so understood the logistics and artillery techniques, to say nothing of huge knowlege of the history. A trip to the American Cemetary, or any of the military cemetaries is always emotional and moving. To see both beaches and the cemetary in one day is emotionally exhausting and makes for a long day. But well worth it. Split into two half days if you can

Nick, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about seemingly every facet of the American portion of the D-Day landings. This tour is a must-do for anyone who wants a comprehensive tour of the areas where American troops landed on June 6, 1944. It's not a tour you will forget.

Matt was the best tour guide ever! He was totally into his job and could tell he loved what he is doing. My wife, not a WW2 buff, was not at all excited about this tour when I told here I booked it. At the end she said I can't believe this was the bet tour ever! I couldn’t agree more!

Take this tour. The stops were all of the D-day essentials. While there was a lot to see, the pace and organization of the stops was great. You could obviously spend more time in a spot if you wanted to go deep, but there was plenty of time to take in the experience and it never felt rushed. Ian our guide was fantastic.

The experience from start to finish exceeded our wishes. Because we did not plan for nearly enough time in France's Normandy region, we knew that, above anything else, we should get an expert guided tour of the American D-Day Beaches and cemetery. We chose the Bayeux Shuttle's all-day tour in a small, comfortable van. We met the Shuttle and six other guests at a stop right outside of our hotel - Churchill Hotel. Convenience of that was a good start to the day. Weather good - cloudy but mild temps. Ian, from Britain, was our guide who had visited Normandy several years before and was so inspired, he became a guide. We learned so much from him as we drove along through the lovely countryside and villages. He told us of little known facts and personalities that were important to the operation as were the significant people and events. Along the beaches, not only did we see the remnants of extensive German defenses but learned of their unexpected weaknesses on that fateful day. Of course the beaches and cliffs were sites to behold because of the daunting challenges they presented to the Allied invasion which consisted of thousands of ships and tens of thousands of troops. Almost inhuman. The cemeteries respectfully memorialize the fallen. Ian planned our visit to the American cemetery for the playing of TAPS and the lowering of our flag, an expression our national mourning. Thank you Bayeux Shuttle and a special thanks to Ian.

The tour was fantastic and highly informative. The locations we visited were amazing and sobering. Ian, the tour guide was like a storyteller. My wife and I learned heaps from him. We were very happy to take this tour. That said, the logistical information provided was a problem. Buried in the instructions was the GPS location. There did not appear to be any helpful information on parking near the collection spot. There was no follow-up email before the event containing useful information, nor could I find it online or via the app.

We knew this would be a great tour, but it was better than we imagined. Ian Everingham, our guide, was so knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail. I never expected to learn as much as I did. He answered all questions thoroughly and was very entertaining. We were really glad we had time to take the full day tour. Neither of us will forget the experience.
