Gehen Sie auf eine Zeitreise durch alle Epochen. Es gibt wenige weitere Stadtbilder, wo Gebäude bis ins fünfzehnte Jahrhundert zurückgehen und trotzdem so harmonisch und dynamisch mit den zeitgenössischen Kreationen der weltweit führenden Architekten vereint wurden. Auf unserer Tour werden Sie alles Wissenswerte über Basel und den Hintergrund der Entwicklung der Stadt erfahren, während Sie historische Gebäude, wie z. B. das Rathaus, die Basler Kathedrale und die Barfüsserkirche passieren. Es wird auch viel über die heutige Situation der Stadt erläutert. Sie werden zu einigen malerischen Ecken der Altstadt gebracht und besuchen ebenfalls Orte, die den heutigen Zeitgeist von Basel widerspiegeln, wie z. B. das Museum der Kulturen und die Tinguely-Brunnen.

Excellent tour very thorough and covered much of the old town. Full of interesting stories about the city and the Swiss.
Booked English speaking tour. Got German/English. We would have been okay with split language, if equal time to each.. Not so. English version was a fraction of the German version. The sites were interesting and the guide was knowledgeable but lost interest before the conclusion and left due to having to listen to a language I don't understand for large stints of time. Also, the guide was soft spoken so very hard to hear her when near congestion, which was large portion of the tour.
Brilliant tour around Basel. As a first time traveler to Basel the tour gave a wonderful insight to the history and creation of this beautiful city. Tour commentary was very extensive and informative. Great tour to familiarize yourself on arrival.
Maria was an excellent tour guide. She alternated between English and German for her guests which were split fairly evenly. Understanding a little German, it was clear that she was imparting the same information to both groups and showed no favoritism even though the German seemed to take a little longer, that's just the vagaries of the language. It was a hot afternoon and Maria did her best to find shade for us when possible and gave us a break and chance to sit for a while during our visit to the cathedral. She also showed us the public drinking stations which are located throughout the city and provided glasses we could use to stay hydrated. Maria was friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone thinking of taking this tour and learning a bit more about Basel.
This was a fun exploration of a small part of Basel. The tour guide was knowledgeable, clear and entertaining. I would recommend. It is not strenuous and is appropriate for all ages and abilities.
