Gran Festival Flamenco de Barcelona im Palau de la Música Catalana
Tablao Flamenco Cordobes ist ein historischer Veranstaltungsort und eine Institution auf La Rambla, Barcelona. Seit 47 Jahren treten alle Flamencostars auf dieser Bühne auf. Seit seiner Gründung fördert, bewahrt und verbreitet das Tablao authentischen, guten Flamenco. Inzwischen reisen einige der wichtigsten Produktionen dieses wichtigen Förderfaktors zu Theatern und Festivals auf der ganzen Welt (Paris, Madrid, Sevilla, Polen, London …).
Im Jahr 2014 erreichte es den Palau de la Música Catalana, wo es unter dem Titel „Gran Festival Flamenco de Barcelona“ einige der wichtigsten Produktionen mit großen Stars aufführte, darunter Farruquito, Jesús Carmona, Karime Amaya, José Maya, La Tana, Belén López und andere.
In der Saison 2017 bietet das Tablao Flamenco Cordobes wieder außergewöhnliche Künstler, die jedem wichtigen Flamencofestival der Welt zur Ehre gereichen würde:
Antonio Fernández Montoya, „El Farru“, ist ein Stammgast bei den großen Festivals der Welt und ein geschätzter Produzent und Choreograph. Er hat der mit bekannten internationalen Künstlern wie Björk, Mark Anthony, Paulina Rubio, Tomatito oder Paco de Lucía gearbeitet und ist Mitglied der Farruco-Familie, einer der angesehensten traditionellen Familien der Welt des Flamenco.
Karime Amaya steht 2017 wieder auf der Besetzungsliste. Als Erbin der Traditionen und des ethnischen Wesens Ihrer Großtante, der Katalanin Carmen Amaya, zeigt sie ihr Talent bei Auftritten auf großen Festivals und Bühnen wie der New York’s Arts Presenters 46th Annual Members Conference, dem Tablao El Flamenco in Tokio; dem Festival Quito Flamenco; dem Festival Arte Flamenco in Mont-de-Marsan, Frankreich oder dem Festival de Arte Flamenco Monterrey, usw.
Dazu kommen einige der besten Sänger, Tänzer und Gitarristen des Flamenco; dazu zählen Hugo López, Susana Casas und Sara Barrero, Belén López, Sara Salado, María del Mar Fernández, Juan Manzano „Coco“, Antonio Campos „Bocaillo“, Manuel Tañé, Tuto und David Cerreduela.

The venue for the show is artistically impressive and aesthetically pleasing. I never attended a Flamenco show before but this looked like the real thing. Performers were talented, passionate and spirited in their performance.
Exciting, dramatic, sensual, different from anything we have ever seen. Well worth the time.
I have seen lots of authentic flamenco around Spain, but this specific show was dull and uninteresting. I left before it finished! It was a show dedicated to the life of one of the best flamenco dancers of all time, Carmen Amaya. I am a huge fan of hers, but every performance of this show was sad and depressing. Literally! Every song was melancholic, sad and slow. That's not how I remember Carmen. Her performances were vibrant, fast and highly energetic. And the theater, although gorgeous and historic, has the most uncomfortable folding seats I've ever sat in. The views are terrible and my knees were crushed into the seat in front of me. Afterwards, I heard from locals that they don't like the seating here either, so I'm not alone in my criticism.
My husband and I have been to other flamenco shows and by far this was the best! Jesus Carmona, the male flamenco dancer brings a unique blend of his ballet and flamenco style to this energetic and mesmerizing show. If you are visiting Barcelona, this show should be a must on your list of things to do!
