Während der Bootstour werden verschiedene privat geführte Ausflüge angeboten, zum Beispiel zum Tal der Könige, dem Tempel von Edfu, Kom Ombo und zum prächtigen Tempel von Philae in Assuan. Sie können auch einen privaten Reiseleiter hinzubuchen und Ihren Reiseplan während der Bootstour mit Ihrem Reiseleiter absprechen.
Das Luxusschiff M/Y Mirage ist ausgestattet mit einem Bordrestaurant, Loungebereichen und Leseecken, einer Disko, einem Swimmingpool mit Jacuzzi-Whirlpool und einem großen überdachten Sonnendeck mit Bar. Only thing I would change is adding the Karnak and Luxor Temple's to the to the itinerary since you stay in the boat the last night anyway. Also be sure you choose a hotel on the East Bank of Luxor if you stay a couple of extra nights like I did.

The cruise was relaxing, comfortable and the staff was excellent. The tour with private guide more than met my expectations! As a single female traveler I felt safe. I would recommend this tour for anyone!

My biggest problem with this trip was the smoking. Crew were not good in reminding those that smoke to keep it to the upper decks and lounge areas only. Walking out of my cabin to a cloud of smoke was not my idea of a good start. I understand that everyone has the right to smoke but if you keep it in designated areas, those that don't smoke will not have a leg to stand on for complaints. However, when you smoke in the hallways and anywhere else you feel like it, it makes for an uncomfortable situation. The food was good and the tours/tour guide were excellent! Just the smoking was my biggest problem. Further, the fact that the elevator was non functioning for the majority of the trip was a little scary. I have a very bad knee and I had to walk up and down the stairs which I would have preferred to have the option of the elevator. Security was another factor. My husband is a security expert and he noticed how lax the security on board was. It seemed as those anyone could come on board if they wanted. Having the experience of a big cruise ship Disney where security is huge, this was very disconcerting to see. Overall it was a fun experience for me and my family.

The ship was the Amarco I but my original documents said the ship was to be the Mirage. However, I was very happy with my stateroom. The meals served were quite good. The crew was friendly and I didnt have any problems communicating in English. The evening activities planned were entertaining. I ordered the 3-day wifi option which was on sale for half price at 300 EGP. The wifi was easy to connect and reliable. The wifi option was only good for one device. The selection of TV channels available wasnt quite what was listed on the guide. No CNN. The sites that I had visited on the daily tours were very good. My private guide was the same person for the 3 days of tours. The guide was knowledgeable but I did find his personality a bit irritating. He was my least favourite of all the private guides that I had hired during my 3-week trip in Egypt. Everything about the ship was good except that the fitness room was out of order for the entire cruise. I do recommend to compare the itineraries and tours offered by the various companies. They are not all the same. I was happy with the pick-up and drop-off service provided. There was a recommended tip for the crew and the guide at the end of the cruise. This was my first cruise and, overall, it was a good experience but it could have been better.

Great trip! Excellent boat, the staff was extremely professional, our guide Hamet was very knowledgable, the food was tremendously good and tre views of the nile are unbeatable. We saw many amazing temples and the schedule is never rushed, it's up to you how you spend your days and we found we had a lot of freedom. The company is really communicative and they picked us up from our hotel, contacting us before hand - they also dropped us off at a flat we were renting after the trip was over. I'd highly recommend this trip - the only thing to note is that cruises try to upsell you on optional excursions! Skip the optional stuff and do it on your own later for much cheaper if you have time. Have a fantastic time, and certainly get a guide to learn a ton!
